Peer Learning Activity: Towards implementing the EHEA social dimension strategy (Austria)

Austria is one of the European countries that has already adopted a national social dimension strategy. In the last few years, Romania has also made some efforts in terms of social dimension  and good practice examples are useful for developing policies in this field.

Therefore, the national experts undertook a peer learning activity on 15 – 16 February 2018, with the main objective of gathering more information on the National Strategy on Social Dimension in Higher Education. Meetings were set up with experts involved in the development and implementation of the National Strategy, namely representatives from the Ministry of Education dealing with higher education policies and students’ representatives from the national union of students. The lessons learned constituted the background for elaborating policy briefs and policy transfer proposals focused on access into higher education and support for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

More information is available in the peer learning activity report.
